XoXo

Without a doubt can I say that Betsey Jonhnson is one of the greatest people to inhabit this here Earth. With her whimsical taste and her penchant for all things youth, this gal has rocked patterns and prints long before other houses even bothered to. I mean really, Dice on a Dress? Vegas is now Tres Chic. FABULOSO.

With this season's Fall 2010 RTW collection, we see Typical, no, Signature Betsey: Colorblock, Stripes, Frills, and a whole 'lotta leg. As the girls begin to strut the 'Hayway', haha funny no? We start off with neutrally olive green skirts, tops & dresses. They are not polka dotted, nor striped, but clad in the print of big bullets and little pistols. Hope this wasn't one of those hidden symbolism collections. yeehaww. As time progresses, we catch sight of the Queen of Glamour, Marylin Monroe. Her not quite Warhole-esque Poppy Arty face is plastered back to back-or in this case-front to front-on a little cardigan and on a long sleeve minidress, trimmed with a black feather boa. (Bonus Points for Extra Showstopping: ACQUIRED) Later we are presented with an assortment os stripes and ties, with the particular half Red and half Black piece that caught my eye. Note: Paired with a simple Red & Black small striped sweater, us mere mortals can too achieve this look. Black ribbon needed.) Something that semi-surprised me here was that many of the pieces seemed to be menswear inspired with the whole button up shirts with Bowties and the most ingenious jumpersuspender pants. Yes, one whole word. The Red & Black ensemble above could easily resemble some pajamas, cut tight to the body with a little attached tutu, which has Oficially made it okay to wear any Long Johns to school. Wait, now if only wearing tutus & PJ's were actually allowed at school. Oh Wait! They are! It's a public school-anything is allowed as long as all explicit content is covered. Okay, that's Enough Babbling for You Missy.

There was this beautiful Black Short & Connected Crop-Top Masterpiece which I can see on Anyone and Everyone, paired with Anythang and Everythang. And a little note on the last pink number, which is simple yet elegant, I don't think I have anything else to say that sounds semi-intelligent about it, just the typical OhMyGoodness wowee coos and squeals. Sorry, but the girly girl lives inside me still.

On to my favorite piece, THIS. Doesn't this seem like an instant sex-appeal lifter?! The corset peeks out perfectly, it's not too naughty, well actually, its quite Conservative in the Betsey World. Whuuuttt?!? If the world were up to me, I'd pick this up with a heartbeat. And Yes, I would walk along the streets of Downtown like so, complete wih the moustache and the whip. If it is not a whip, I will let my imagination believe it is, for the sake of my happiness.

And now for the perfect Communist outfit, in which I would never decline wearing. Now if only Meanie Weenie Military Dicators had Brains...

I Know, I Know, I Know.
Before I give you my most profound apologies, I will tell you why I've been absent for so long.
I have been off in Paree. LIE.
School shall be over soon enough in 13 days I believe? Then a week of finals, and Bam-FREEDOM.
My teachers have decided to pump out everything they hadn't managed to teach over the year and cram it down our throats just in time for us to be in the state to either make or break our grade.
I wish I could have made some better excuse up such as my fine lie above, but really, my cerebral capacity is far beyond filled, and I'd rather hurt it doing good.
Note: Lying is Bad.

Without further ado, these were snaps tooken around the past couple of days, in random places ranging from the usual: My Backyard, to the Semi-Unusual: Bathroom, or, uh, rather scholarly: Stanford.
